Process Map started as an internal tool for tracking compliance processes at a regulated SMB. We kept hearing the same thing from peers: "we know our processes are documented somewhere, we just can't find them, and they're always out of date." So we made a thing.
Today, Process Map is used by ops teams who care less about beautiful diagrams and more about knowing where the gaps are — which processes have no owner, which artifacts have no producer, which policies don't actually cover anything.
